Community guidelines
connect2earth is a space for you to tell the world why you care about our planet. When you registered, you accepted the terms and conditions of use of the site. And even though it may not be the most fun thing to read, it is very important that you review these terms and conditions carefully. So we took the most important points and put them in plain talk for you:
Content
Simply put what you upload should be your own and it should depict why you care for planet earth, whether it conveys your respect for its beauty, your concerns, or your suggestions.
So that means that you should not upload:
- videos, images or text that you download from other places (unless you own the copyright of course!). For example a cool video you find on Youtube, or a National Geographic image
-
videos, images or text that you put together using bits of copyrighted content.
Vote and comment
Every month the top rated eligible entry wins a Nokia mobile phone. So express yourself and vote! Without your votes the competition cannot work and we cannot give out phones. So you can rank as many entries as you want, but only once of course!.
To rank: login, go to the entry detail page (by clicking on the entry itself)), and click the desired number of planets, (5 planets is the best). It?s simple, anonymous, and very important..
Also make use of the comment area under each piece of content. You think that image is great, this video is taken from somewhere else, this piece of text sums up exactly what you feel? Get it off your chess! Add you own comments.
Behavior
Of course connect2earth is about saving our planet. But it is also about us, responsible, concerned and active cool people. So we need to behave in a way that is respectful of others. Here are some examples of what we should not do on the site:
1. Bullying, threatening, or slandering another person
2.
Pretending to be someone else
3.
Giving out contact information for yourself or someone else (such as name, address, phone number, or e-mail address)
4.
Promoting, advertising, posting commercial material, or linking to commercial websites
5.
Linking to websites that contain illegal or inappropriate material
6.
Spamming
Report abuse
Our mission is to keep the site fun for our community, but we need your help! If you see that another user has broken the connect2earth guidelines or our terms and conditions, let us know about it by clicking the "Flag as inappropriate" links located on each detail page. We then have procedures in place that will automatically remove content from view
Please review the full terms and conditions
Not all rules are explained here so be sure to review the full set of terms and conditions.
