“I've definitely got many more changes to make, but I am becoming more aware of the impact of my daily choices. Small ways I've changed my lifestyle to be more responsible include: choosing energy efficient bulbs, recycled paper products, unplugging household appliances when they are not in use, skipping the AC and heater (I'm lucky to live in a place where an open window or another sweater is almost always enough),refilling my water bottle instead of buying plastic bottles when possible, and ditching the plastic bags in favor of cute canvas totes. I much prefer days when I can stay local and get around by bicycle, and now can even do all my errands and shopping with my bike basket, and get some exercise without noticing it! I also feel good about making contributions to NRDC; they're getting so much done!”
