Endangered mammals
The most comprehensive assessment of the world's mammals, revealed at the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Barcelona in October 2008, has confirmed an extinction crisis. Watch IUCN experts talk about the challenges we face.
Mammals are in a dire state, according to Jean-Christophe Vié, Deputy Head of the IUCN Species Programme, but there is hope for the future as long as we make concerted conservation efforts. Listen to M.Vie interview. Learn more about the The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species™.
Some of you have already talked about endangered species on connect2earth, be it Dusky Dolphins, Asiatic Lions, Galapagos Penguins, Tortoises or Polar Bears.. Take a look at these entries! And react online to IUCN's report by uploading your own content or commenting the video. Remember that every month we'll reward the one with the highest rated entries by featuring it on the WWF and IUCN websites. Make you voice heard now!
