connect2earth is a space for you to tell the world why you care about our planet. When you registered, you accepted the terms and conditions of use of the site. And even though it may not be the most fun thing to read, it is very important that you review these terms and conditions carefully. So we took the most important points and put them in plain talk for you:
Your contributions to the debate are key. So go ahead, express what you think! You can add comments, video or images, as long as they are your own. And that they are decent of course.. (more on that below in Behaviour)
So that means that you should not upload:
- videos, images or text that you download from other places (unless you own the copyright of course!). For example a cool video you find on Youtube, or a National Geographic image
- videos, images or text that you put together using bits of copyrighted content.
Every two month a top rated contributor entry wins a special prize (currently a solar charger for your mobile phone). So express yourself and rate! Without your ratings the competition cannot work and we cannot give out our precious prizes. So you can rank as many contributions as you want, but only once of course!.
To rank: sign in, go to the post you want to rate, and click on the little thumb up thumb down icons that you find under the member's user ID on the left hand side. Clicking on thumb up adds a point, clicking on thumb down substracts a point. It's simple, anonymous, and very important..
Of course connect2earth is about saving our planet. But it is also about us, responsible, concerned and active cool people. So we need to behave in a way that is respectful of others. Here are some examples of what we should not do on the site:
1. Bullying, threatening, or slandering another person
2. Pretending to be someone else
3. Giving out contact information for yourself or someone else (such as name, address, phone number, or e-mail address)
4. Promoting, advertising, posting commercial material, or linking to commercial websites
5. Linking to websites that contain illegal or inappropriate material
6. Spamming
Our mission is to keep the site fun for our community, but we need your help! If you see that another user has broken the connect2earth guidelines or our terms and conditions, let us know about it by clicking the "Report abuse" links located next to each contribution. We then have procedures in place that will automatically remove content from view.
Not all rules are explained here so be sure to review the full set of terms and conditions.
