One large chain of malls here in the Philippines offer those paper or cotton bags in their supermarkets. This particular mall encourages every Filipino to be environment friendly by using this types of bags every Wednesday. Hey, I couldn't agree more. Many people are not aware of the damage they cause just by running their every day lives. Ignorance is not only the responsibility of the individuals but the governments too! Therefore it's time to put a bigger emphasis and spend more money on education!

That's the problem, that most people couldn't care less. They get their plastic bags and don't even think once to refuse them. Now, I wouldn't go anywhere without my foldable canvas/cotton shopping bags....such an easy alternative and it makes me proud using them too...
