Eco School Project - age 7 to 14 in Water

Our Eco School Project goal is to save fresh water!!!We connected this with PET&paper collection and recycling,we investigated about endangered animals in our country- and we need all these to replace old taps with new ones at our school. Fresh water resources of the whole water in the World is abt 4%.And we all know that human body is 60-70% water.Not to speak of the importance of water for all the living beaing on our Plannet. Me and my students noticed great fresh water leakeage from the old half-broken taps in the school toilets.We need to replace them urgently, so here follows our cycle of activities in order to earn money and replace the old taps with new ones: 1.a/.Students collect old paper (they bring old paper and cardboard embalage and also inform our neughbourhood-homes and institutions-to collect and put their old paper&cardboard embalage in the special container in our school yard).b/.We visited a recycling paper plant,so we will produce recycled paper at our school and make various products from it. 2/.Students collect PET(we received a special 'red house' PET collector at our school). 3.Students investigated upon endangered animal species in our country,Macedonia,they painted those animals,and the Eco Unit of our city will donate to print these wonderful children paintings on T-shirts. 4/.We will organize an Eco School Bazaar by the end of the following semester, and students will sell the recycled paper products and T-shirts with endangered animals paintings on them OUR GOAL: All these money (from the Eco School Bazaar, collected old paper and PET) we will buy and replace the old taps with new (sensor) taps - AND SAVE FRESH WATER!!!
