A refuge for species, safeguarding our food and water, and improving our well being. Protected areas are essential. We’ve all been to protected areas and have stories of their beauty.
If conservation advocacy groups actively supported local sustainable tourism programs, that would be a crucial step to educate both local communities and tourists about ways to actively protect our precious and fragile natural areas. Reporting after the damage is done means what? Collaboration. Live it.
In late July, the winner of a connect2earth competition travelled to Broome to experience the pristine and remote wilderness. Some of the activities she will be doing is kayaking, bush walking, 4wdriving and Dugong tagging. Check out the photos here and keep an eye out for the stories!
After 8 hours in a plane I am still buzzing with excitement. The plane is coming into land and i can see the clear blue water meeting the red bare earth, a landscape I have never seen before or will forget. Im about to land in Broome ......
